Stockholm Sweden

A very nice end to a very long journey. The history, the vasa ship and a very large old kingdom. I enjoyed seeing where the nobel peace prize is given and the celebrations take place. Stockholm is a huge city and a huge port.

Riga Latvia

I really enjoyed Riga. It is right on the baltic sea. A very large city and one of the ports for all of Scandinavia and the baltics.

Warsaw Poland

Most of Warsaw was bombed and destroyed. It was amazing to visit and see how they restored most of the City. I kept thinking about how when I was in school we learned about places behind the Iron Curtain and how one could not go there. In my lifetime all of that has changed and I was able to go, see, visit and learn about the history in the Baltics. Our guide shared that many people 50
years or older would be happy to go back to the days when everyone had the same. The youth on the other hand love the opportunity to pursue whatever they so choose.

Poznan Poland

A quaint town on my way to Warsaw Poland. A walk after dinner to the town square in summer was lovely.

Helsinki Finland

I learned that Russia had a heavy fist over finland for a very long time. They have only had independance since maybe late 50's to early 60's. I did alot of walking here and loved the reindeer symbols everywhere.
